“Murder is her Hobby” was a small AR puzzle game project based on the work of Frances Glessner Lee. Her fascination with forensic science led her to create the “Nutshell Studies of Unexplained Death”, a series of meticulously crafted crime scene dioramas used to train detectives in crime scene Investigation in the 1940s and 1950s.
For this project, I recreated one of the scenarios, the murder in the kitchen, as accurately as possible in doll’s house style. In addition, the prototype of the project included a few characters, which I also realized. The dolls are all based on the same skeleton and rig of a doll from the 1940s.
I worked on the project as lead 3D artist and did all the 3D work. The models were created in Blender, textured with Substance Painter and Photoshop and integrated into the project in Unity.
